It is housed in a large historic mansion on the second floor, and is roughly 1 or 1-1/2 hours north of New York City by car. Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum 295 West Avenue; Norwalk, Connecticut Phone: 203 838 1434 VERY IMPORTANT: BE SURE TO PHONE BEFORE YOUR VISIT TO MAKE SURE THE MUSEUM WILL BE OPEN, and to get directions. The museum is closed during the winter months, but re-opens March 1. Hours are T-F 11-2; Sunday 1-3.
