Unfinished Introduction
By John Phillips

The last line did get dropped off my introduction somehow. It simply said that any mechanical music enthusiasts visiting Tasmania are welcome to visit the Phillips' household (phone no. inside Australia is 002-278324). We live in Hobart, which is Tassie's capital city (well it's a good-sixed town, about 180,000 people).

In order to fill out this letter a bit, here's some what might be called Sports Medicine advice. Most player enthusiasts are used to the idea of slapping a roll into the palm of the right hand, to throw all the turns of paper against the right hand spool end and thus improving the tracking. My advice is: don't do this with a 65n pin-end roll. I absent-mindedly did this the other night and was restored to full alertness immediately! John Phillips.
