Play-Rite and Wurlitzer Roll Production

I spoke today with Charlotte, who manages the Play-Rite office in Turlock, Calif., for John Malone. She said that, with all the other specialty re-cutting jobs that John's working on, it will probably be about 2 years until they set up the old Acme perforator once again for copying Wurlitzer rolls. Mrs. Jean Malone, John's mother, does all the specialty recutting work after John has set up the perforators. She's ageless - an amazing lady - and meticulous, too!
Charlotte wasn't aware that John had offered his W165 organ for sale; I think it's more likely to be the one owned by Hayes McClaren, who "left town mysteriously" many months ago.
I got a nice note from Marty Roenigk, too, concerning his Mammoth organ. He notes that "brass horns for military band organs seems to be a rather specialized field", and he seeks contacts to experienced pipe makers.
Tell me about Mike Grant's perforator. Can he control it via computer, as Richard Tonnesen does? If so, we can probably use Wayne Stahnke's new optical transcriber to read the rolls for punching by Grant.
