Duo-Art Numbers, Continued
By Craig Brougher

For those following the thread between myself and Pete Knobloch, I have
answered his last letter personally because he has taken a different
tack with his last letter, and I want to maintain the direction we were
going before we got blown off course. So if Pete will just not worry
about his other questions right now, we will maintain the course we've
been on and get him some answers shortly. Otherwise, it gets too
confusing and nobody can follow the conversation anymore.

One thing I hope we can take care of also, is the vacuum gauge
question. If he is trying to read a Marshalltown Gauge, he is wasting
his time. So Pete, get yourself a good gauge, first. I suggest making
the water gauge shown in the Orchestrion Builder's Manual-- the single
column gauge there. But if you buy one, pick up a Haenni gauge-- 0 to
-40" water. Beautifully constructed, repeatable, and has an adjustable
zero setting. By the way, I searched through the Grainger catalog and
could not find a Magnhelic gauge at all. Besides, I have never seen one
with that large a compass, anyway. Maybe someone else knows the answer.
I purchased my Haenni's from an industrial sales outlet, special order.
I think they are about $50 or so. Ask for negative pressure.
