Midi File and Picture Decoding Question
By Craig Brougher

I have been looking for a decent decoder that doesn't take a degree in computer programming to understand. I would very much like to receive and send MIDI files and pictures, and to decode same, whether from Unix, Macs, or PCs. I had a program called WinCode by Snappy, but they never sent me an instruction book or help file, even after I mailed them a check for it, and now I can't even find them listed anymore.

Does anyone know of a really fine, professionally done, properly finished, intuitive program that will do this task quickly and without a lot of setup problems and hangs with Windows 95? What I have had so far has been sort-of reminiscent of Alice Through the Looking Glass. Now I'd just as soon leave these half-baked programs in the dust and get something that everyone agrees is "well-done." Thanks.

Craig B.
