As you point out, there are at least four major categories that could be covered in our "vendor list", pianos, parts, restoration and piano rolls (this would include orchestrions and coin operated pianos); music boxes, music box repairs, tune discs, dealers, producers of new music boxes; and organs, band organs, monkey organs, builders, dealers, music roll and chip makers, book music suppliers, parts supplies, repairs and restoration, etc; and "other" which could include organettes, toys, novelties, prints, memorabilia, reproductions, repairs, sales, etc. While there is some crossover, especially with a number of dealers, nonetheless, most restorers and suppliers of music, manufacturers, etc. tend to stay largely within their own category. While a few vendors might end up being listed more than once, it would certainly be easier to find what we are looking for if the categories are kept separate. What does everyone else think ?

[ Editor's Note:
[
[ I think listing vendors once per catagory is probably
[ necessary, especially if the sections of the directory
[ are to stand alone, as might happen during a Web-based search.
[
[ I appreciate the extension of the headings you provided
[ above. There's some good feedback in this evening's
[ digest in the area of "portable" organs. Keep those datapoints
[ coming!
[
[ Thanks
[ Jody
