Re: Concerning the "Taj Mahal"
By Hal O'Rourke

I'm sure I'm not the only one who got a laugh out of hearing American International Galleries refereed to as a "Mechanical Music store" in southern California. If I could only buy a few of the things from their old catalogs that I still thumb through occasionally. Remember how we all thought the prices were too high???

Anyway, as I'm sure 20 other people will report, the Taj went from California to Switzerland for a few years and rumor now has it that it's on it's way to Australia. The writer will have to do some heavy traveling to hear it again. Incidentally, there was a wonderful recording of the organ sold for many years and may still be available. I've played my copy to death. If anyone knows where I can ger a fresh copy please let us know. Too bad that was before the advent of CDs. Hopefully it will be recorded again soon using modern technology.
