Carousel Christmas Ornaments
By Matthew Caulfield

I inquired of Dr. Bill Black (Carrousel Music, Chambersburg, Pa.) about the series of carousel Christmas ornaments that was mentioned in Digest 96.12.03.  Here is what he replied:

The Hallmark Carousel Ornaments have been produced for 3 years. This year (the 1996 one) is the last.
First one: Produced as a dated 1994 Christmas Keepsake Ornament, Magic Collector's Series. Called the "Tobin Fraley Holiday Carousel". Small Carousel with lights and music. Plays the "Skaters Waltz"
Second one:  Same description as above. Dated 1995. Plays "Over The Waves".
Third and final one of the series:  Same description as above. Dated 1996. Plays "On The Beautiful Blue Danube"
The Carousel and single horse are different each year.
The music was provided for each year by the Carrousel Music Wurlitzer Style 153 band organ.
This years ornament can be purchased at stores selling the Hallmark Ornaments. I've noticed that some of the past years ornaments are for sale on the web if you search for "carousel".
