I'll para- phrase the instructions which appear on the Ampico box and on a sheet for the Kleernote device (same pump, different distributors). The Ampico box shows a patent date of April 16, 1918. [snip -- This is the same data as reported in Digest 961207. ] The Kleernote sheet says "There are thousands of Kleernotes in use in every State of the United States and also in foreign countries. We have NEVER received a complaint against the efficient working of the pump."
