I formerly soaked tracker bars in a bucket of gasoline, before the price of gas went up to over $1.00 a gallon! I guess being a non-smoker has at least one safety advantage. Take a stiff wire brush and clean the gunk off after you have worked the swollen tubing that is removed easily after a few hours. And make sure you don't play with matches or have any spark or open flame condition anywhere near the soaking area. You can use "regular unleaded" gasoline for 88-note players, but you'll have to use "premium" for a reproducing piano!
