Re: How To Care For Your Music Box
By Hauke Marxsen

Hello Philippe Rouille, a very good idea to give an advice like that.

You might expand it with following experience for smaller movements:

-- NEVER WIND UP A MUSIC BOX WHILE IT IS PLAYING: The cylinder might go back a little bit and ruin teeth, dampers or pins. Let the music box play until the end of the tune.

-- BLOCK THE SPEED REGULATOR FOR SENDING / MOVING: You should block the speed regulator with a little piece of paper, if you will be transporting it over long distances.

Now and again people ask me: How To Care For A Music Box. You have given the answer. Do you agree, if I make a translation into German?

Yours
Hauke Marxsen

[ May we place this fine advice -- in three languages -- on our MMD web
[ page, and on the new MBSI web page? -- Robbie
