Seek 116-note Organ Test Roll
By Eugene Rogers

I am presently trying to restore an old BA Aeolian-Hammond player organ, and like a fellow member, I am looking for a test roll. It is the 116 holes per tracker bar and 12 holes per inch. If someone is cutting this please let me know. I thought about using a 12 character/inch typewriter, with no success, and like the gentleman said I don't want to get out the old X-acto knife.

In some literature I read where a roll was included in each new organ sold. Since they manufactured at least over 100 of these monsters, there should be a large collection somewhere. Still looking for that mother lode.

[ Our member Richard Vance is preparing an article describing how
[ s 58-note test roll at 6/inch can be used to test 12/inch organs.
[ The technique might also work for the Hammond system. -- Robbie
