Foot-pumped Ampico
By Bing Gibbs

Hello All, I have the opportunity to acquire a 1920 Haines Bros. Ampico upright foot pumper, which, of course, needs lots of restoration work.

I've been told this is a rare piano because of the foot pumper Ampico. Other than the fact that maybe it's rare, is there any advantage to having a foot pumper reproducing player? Could anybody offer any input on this?
