Seek Violano Rolls for Museum
By Roger Waring

Can anyone help? Our Museum of Science & Industry in Birmingham, England, has half a dozen mechanical instruments, one of which is a 1928 Violano-Virtuoso, built by Mills Novelty Co. Chicago in 1928. Problem is they have only one roll and it is falling apart! The weekly demonstrations on Thursdays have taken their toll.

A donation of the odd roll no longer needed would be wonderful, and full acknowledgment would be made, but a source of reasonably priced rolls would also be useful. Please reply to Pianolas@dial.pipex.com (sexy eh?)

Thanks to everyone -- it all helps to keep the interest alive.

Yours revolvingly, Roger Waring
