Zilotone Toy

Don Teach inquired about what a "Zilotone" was. The Zilotone was made by the Wolverine company, I think in the 1930's. It is a metal toy, litho- graphed, in the form of a clown hitting a xylophone. The disc, along with the underneath gearing, directed the clown sequentially to the proper xylophone notes and thus a tune.

There were a total of nine tunes made for this. They are rather popular. We wrote an article on them for the MBS magazine some 20 years ago. They have gotten rather hard to find.
