Tite-Bond Glue
By Craig Brougher

Damon Atchison Is worried that Tite-Bond on his hammers will prevent
replacement someday. In this case, I wouldn't worry too much. I don't
care for it, frankly and use Hot Hide Glue myself, as it doesn't set by
losing moisture, so it doesn't skew the freshly laid hammers out of line
as it dries. But a combination of heat and pressure will remove hammers
put on by Tite-Bond.

Grand hammers are by far easiest to remove because they are drilled all
the way through so allow the use of a "puller" plier. Upright hammers are
hardest to take off and usually have to be split anyway.
