FS: 53-key Air Calliope
By Robbie Rhodes

While in San Francisco I talked with the former owner of the Red Garter
Saloon, one of the very successful beer-and-peanuts joints of the 1960s.
He wants to sell one of his calliopes, which was built in the 1950s by
Orville Cooper, of Long Beach CA.

It has 53 pipes, beginning with Tenor-C (one octave below Middle-C).
The case resembles the 53-key National calliope, while the pipes and
valve chest are copied from the Tangley design. No roll player, blower
not included. Price unknown, contact
