Beer Songs: The Final Word?
By Larry Lobel

I deplore all this alcoholic chit-chat, and had no intention of
participating in it, but maybe my contribution will bring an end to it.

Victrola record # 945:

side A - "Stein Song" by Richard Hovey and Frederick Field Bullard,
sung by Reinald Werrenrath.

side B - "Brown October Ale" by Harry B. Smith and Reginald DeKoven (from
the movie "Robin Hood"), sung by Reinald Werrenrath and male quartet

I'll post the words, if anyone is desperate to learn them.

Larry Lobel

[ Steve Goodman and I laughed about Stein Song last night -- it's surely
[ as "classic" as Beer Barrel Polka! But hold the words, Larry, until we
[ think of a good method to archive lyrics along with the music. I made
[ a simple Midi file of Rosamunde for fun, perhaps other folks can
 [ contribute files for a Midi Sing-along Archive ! -- Robbie
