FS: Steck Gotha Pianola
By Michele Kohler

We are in the south of England and have a Steck Gotha Pianola Piano that
we are considering selling. Has anyone experience of selling such an
instrument by auction? Is there any auction house with a reasonable
record of selling Pianolas? Is it possible to sell such an instrument
privately?

We bought it at a local auction so that is always a possibility. We
tried to sell it privately several years ago but lost heart. We want to
try again. The instrument is sound, having been carefully restored. The
piano - as opposed to the Pianola - needs tuning. The wooden casing of
the instrument -- while not to our taste -- has a charm of its own.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Michele Kohler
