SABBAEM Italian Music Rolls
By Bob Billings

Julian Dyer asked about SABBAEM Italian rolls a few days ago. I've not
run into that make, but here is the name of someone who may be able to
help out.

  Dott. Antonio Latanza
  Via Crescenzio 19 - 00193 Roma
  Italy

Antonio is doing research on rolls produced for Italian immigrants to the
U.S., and has access to Italian music roll catalogs. The only make I
know of at this time (outside of the SABBAEM now) is F.I.R.S.T., which
stands for Fabbrica Italiana Rulli Sonori Traforati. As of a 1926
catalog they listed about 5500 titles.

If Julian would be so kind as to attach a scanned file of the label to an
email, we would like to add it to our research files. Our email address
is toadhall@sprynet.com
