Update on 1922 Steck Duo-Art
By Debbie Legg

Hi List, Today I went to take a look at the Steck Duo-Art that I
posted for sale on MMD for the owner. Well, it may have had some work
done on it in 1975, but it is in real rough shape now. It was restrung
and some player work done, and refinished. However, the entire
instrument is so damp that it is growing mold. The strings are
completely rusty, piano doesn't work, player is nowhere near working.
Literally in worse shape than an "untouched".

The owner doesn't see the problem and claims that another one _exactly_
like his sold for $20,000.00 in 1989. Potential buyers beware!
