Broadwood Company
By Brian Thornton

Several years back, I restored a player action in a Broadwood piano
for a family in Michigan. The piano was made in the late 20s, (by
American standards, it looked more like 1880s). When I had finished
the restoration, the couple told me before contacting me they had
actually written the Broadwood company seeking assistance in the
instruments repair. The company responded, saying that they
regretfully couldn't help them.

The family showed me the note, which had the largest letterhead
I have ever seen in my life. The Broadwood logo took nearly a fifth
of the page, and two-thirds was taken up by all the awards from
exhibitions since the fall of Rome, and the seals of every crown head
they have made a piano for, Europe and beyond.

It's worth writing them -- very suitable for framing!
