Introduction - Part One
By Matthew Caulfield

Hah, Bjorn Isebaert thought no one would be interested in his degree
major. My degree was also in Classical Languages and Literature
(Latin & Greek).

I gave up teaching after four years or so and ended up at the Library
of Congress as a refuge from the classroom, where I could still use my
Latin and other European languages that a good knowledge of Latin and
German opens up to you. I spent 35 great years there.

How I got into mechanical music and band organs is a whole other story.

Matthew Caulfield

"Forsan et haec olim meminisse iuvabit" -- Virgil.

[ Hah, now we gotcha -- Tell us about your work at LOC, and
[ the 'whole other story', Matthew! And what does Virgil say?
 [ It's Greek to me! ;) -- Robbie
