Mechanical Music Sites Around The World
By Meta Brown

I'd like to second Jeffrey Borinsky's comment in MMDigest 980731
that requests for information about mechanical music sites in
particular locations serve a special purpose to allow us to meet
one another.

I met Jeffrey last year after posting such a request for information
(Hi, Jeffrey!) and had a wonderful experience. At the recent AMICA
meeting, I recognized the name of a friend that Jeffrey had mentioned,
and introduced myself, which led to some very interesting conversation,
and a pleasant evening showing him a little of Chicago. (Hi, Julian!)

Such postings are both a polite way of saying "Hey, anybody out there
want to show me around?" and an opportunity for readers to contribute
details of past travel experiences that might not otherwise have been
shared.

And, of course, Phillipe Rouille's Mechanica Musica site is still
a totally cool resource for travelers, not to mention a good read.
