Winkel's Componium
By Colin Hinz

Not true! A few years ago I was exploring the Faculty of Music library
at the University of Toronto (Canada), and I spotted a 500+ page
volume, entirely about the Componium. Unfortunately, I made no notes
on this book, and didn't even make notes on the country of origin or
the language it was written in (sorry). I seem to recall it came from
one of the "Low Countries" though. All I recall of it is that it was a
volume of stupendous proportions, and included complete pinning
diagrams for the barrels.

Since the University of Toronto keeps a relatively tight rein on its
holdings, it's probably still there, unlike the municipal public
library which seems to lose its choice holdings almost as a matter of
course.

Cheers,
