Performing in Public
By Mark Curtis

As a person who has always enjoyed mechanical organs I was wondering
if there is much of a market for playing them in public. I mean, can
and do any of you play your mechanical instruments in public for
donations or anything?

I think it would be fun to take a monkey organ, if I got one, to a
festival or something and play it. Maybe dress up in a costume like
the old organ grinders wore with a scarf around my neck. What do you
think?

Mark Curtis

[ Mark, you display all of the attributes of a successful organ grinder!
[ I hope that Maestro Angelo Rulli of MBSI (and MMD, too) will respond
[ with more encouragement for you. Claus Kucher and Ingmar Krause will
[ soon tell us (I hope) of all the fun at the recent grind-organ
[ festival in Vienna, "MEMUSI '98". -- Robbie
