Canadian Legal Problem: Ivory Keytops
By Hal Davis

Since elephants were declared an endangered species, the possession and
use of elephant "products" have been highly regulated in many countries.

If you'll observe carefully, you'll see that there are no sources of
"new" ivory, not even for new pianos.

On the other hand, if you try to cross the border with an eagle feather
in your possession, you could find yourself doing some serious time in
a federal prison. There is no excuse that the authorities will accept
as an exception to the law.
