Pressing Leather and Cloth With Rotary Ironer
By Bruce Clark

Caution using rotary ironer with leather and pneumatic cloth [MMD
981018]. The heat can damage the rubber and age it prematurely.
If the heat is too high, it will fry the leather.

I have used an "Ironrite" rotary ironer for several years, mainly to
remove wrinkles from paper rolls, but more so, to remove damp from the
paper when has expanded during periods of excessive humidity. Someone
suggested to add packets of silica to the roll boxes once the rolls are
dried out. It works!

I also feel that the heat may kill mold spores, but again, the heat on
paper might age it prematurely.
