Roll-Operated Music Box is New 'Mr. Christmas' Item
By Rick Inzero

I just got back from a local Target store, and they had a new "Mr.
Christmas Collectibles" item on the shelf, called "Music in Motion".
It's a *roll-operated* music box that costs $60.

It has a continuous-loop paper roll with 15 Christmas songs on it.
The lid opens up so you can see the paper being fed up and across the
top, and there's a window in the bottom to see the remaining loosely
folded up paper roll. The roll looks roughly the width of a Rollmonica
roll, with round holes, and the "sheet music" of each song printed
on it.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to hear more than 5 seconds of music from
it: the one on display was "stuck" -- the roll had crinkled the wrong
way and wouldn't feed through anymore. The store's staff tried for
five minutes to fix it before I left; they said that it had been
playing quite a bit without problem until then.
