Theatre Organs and Trains

I've been a member of the ATOS [American Theatre Organ Society]
since 1970, and one of the most curious items I've encountered
is the relationship between trains and theatre pipe organs!  It
seems that many people who like theatre organs also like trains
too.  I myself have too many hobbies but trains doesn't seem to
be one of them!  What is the relationship?
