Remove Hard Tracker Tubing With Heat Gun
By John A. Tuttle

HI All, Quick tech tip from an experimenting customer -- an easy way
to remove hard tracker bar tubing from both lead and brass: use a heat
gun! It's hot enough to soften the rubber but not so hot that it melts
the lead.

The customer claims to have removed all the tubing from a transposing
tracker bar in 30 minutes (both ends). And, he didn't have to remove
either the tracker bar or the lead tubing. He used a Wagoner heat gun.
I'll be trying the method on my next tracker bar retubing job.

Musically,

John A. Tuttle
