Time Zones
By Bob Taylor

Robbie, Again the engineers' nightmare of pluses and minuses haunts us
in the week before Halloween. Your note about time zones contains the
error. PDT = GMT - 7. With all due respect, and fully noting your
"yawn", I am sure others will have fun with this, too.

Bob Taylor

[ Yeah, I know what you mean, Bob (+/-). You live in Missouri and,
[ in the date line of your message above, the time is given as
[ "10:35:05 -0500", so I equate that with Central Daylight Time (CDT),
[ or "CDT = GMT - 0500". At 5 AM in the UK it's midnight in Missouri,
[ so GMT = CDT + 0500". Isn't that right? (And then there's the song,
 [ "Midnight in Moscow" ;) -- Robbie

(Message sent Wed 27 Oct 1999, 15:35:05 GMT, from time zone GMT-0500.)
