Frequency Meter
By Lee Roan

Hi MMDers. It was interesting reading about Richard Cardwell's
experience with frequency standards used to calibrate the frequency
meters built by his father's company (991216 MMD). I just happen to
have one of those units, a TS-175/U, Army Signal Corps, complete with
the thick dial-setting-to-frequency book of conversion tables that
Robbie described.

We had one like it on the Navy ship I served on during the Korean War;
I think it was called an LM-103. We used it for setting frequencies
on our low frequency transmitters. Brings back a few old memories --
How times have changed !
