Across the fair organ collecting world there is a rush to "computerize"
fair organs and lay the book music aside!

I find book music going through a keyframe one of the attractive parts
of fair organ enjoyment.  It is part of the mechanical charm so to
speak.  But book music is expensive to produce, particularly due to the
19th century labor involved in punching it with foot power!

The other problem is that due to the weight of book music, it is
expensive to ship to remote locations like the United States!
Necessity is the mother of invention, so ...

Okay, you MMD mechanical music MIDI experts, perforator whizzes, tool
and die makers, and fabricators -- it is time to come up with a
Computerized Personal Book Music Punching Machine, or CPBMPM.  This
device should have the ability to punch both keyless and key music with
the simple change of a die and punch and should respond to MIDI input
from Cakewalk.  It should have a step advance mechanism.  There should
be a single traveling punch and die.  It should be able to cut up to
125-key music.

There _is_ a large potential market for such a device.  I know of a
number of instant customers who are tired of leg cramps and fatigue
from operating a foot-powered puncher.  If such a machine already
exists then let us know about it and how much it costs.  It is time to
go from the horse and buggy to the 21st century!
