Ruth Organ at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
By Robbie Rhodes

While prowling the Web I stumbled on the web site of Brass Ring
Entertainment, owner Daniel Horenberger, located in Sun Valley, Calif.
At the 'company history' page it states that they restored the 1910
Ruth band organ at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, Santa Cruz, California.

At http://www.beachboardwalk.com/rides/looff.html I found some text
about the 1911 Looff carousel:

"Music for the carousel is provided by a 342-pipe Ruth und Sohn
band organ built in 1894. The German-made music machine is one of
the last of its kind. When it was renovated in 1979, many of the
parts had to be handmade, a process which took months. The antique
band organ underwent another major refurbishment in 1993, at a cost
  of over $25,000."
