Organ Pipes and Earthquakes
By John Spradley

The large theatre organ in Roosevelt Memorial Park in Southern
California, an outdoor setting in a cemetery, used a 25-inch wind
supply, and some of the pipes were secured to prevent launching.

After three large local earthquakes (in 1933, 1971, 1994), in my next
re-build (or whatever it's called) I will make sure that _all_ pipes,
and chests, etc., are thoroughly secured and braced. PLEASE don't
assume it can't happen to you.
