Seek Charles Chaplin Song "Smile" on Music Roll
By Douglas Henderson

Hello MMD readers, Pam Heidinger, who found my roll business on the
Web, is looking for the Charles Chaplin song "Smile" on 88-Note rolls,
or Duo-Art if that is possible (which I doubt, unless somebody like me
creates a master roll!). I have plans to perforate "The Green Lantern
Rag" featured in his silent film, "A Dog's Life" but none, at the
moment, to address this famous Chaplin ballad music.

Years ago I had an Artona roll of "Theme from 'Limelight'" and it might
still be in my box of bad arrangements! (Good Chaplin music, still,
but the roll was erratic and sloppy in its rhythm and striking
effects.)

Does anybody know of "Smile" on new or old rolls? If so write to Pam
Heidinger at <chateauctn@aol.com>. She's trying to get this piece for
an elderly owner of a Duo-Art player.

Regards from Maine,

Douglas Henderson
