Roll Quality
By John Spradley

I would like to see some kind of a rating system to go with any
source listing of rolls. Having been burned by some low quality
re-cuts I am overly cautious of roll suppliers. For a while
I blamed it on my Weber Duo-Art Grand.

After purchasing Ballade in F Minor by Chopin from Meliora Rolls
I am absolutely amazed by the quality of Ignaz Friedman's playing,
and by the perfect tracking of the roll. So I ordered 5 more rolls,
and they are all great!

I had purchased Duo-Art rolls from a 'brand-name' supplier, and found
poor tracking, hole-spacing varying, and paper with varying. Two rolls
were not even the same selection as the box and leader advertised.

Never again will I be so quick to blame my 75 year old (original stack)
piano!
