Electric Motor for Duo-Art "Steamboat" Pump
By Spencer Chase

As many Duo-Art collectors know the motor for the "steamboat" pump
is different from the others and is extremely difficult to find.
It is a 1/4 HP 1750 RPM motor. Most others are 1/8 HP and are 1175
RPM. An eighth-horsepower motor will not do it without overheating
or even stalling.

If anyone has some extra, I would like one too as would many others.
It seems that the 1/4 HP 1750 RPM motor got "borrowed" quite often for
other purposes when the piano stopped working. Unfortunately, it was
rare to begin with, used with the steamboat pump only in the biggest
uprights (and remote pumps).
