I need a lead on where to find the phono parts for a Reginaphone,
inherited by a friend in Chicago.  Does anyone know where I might
send him for a turntable, arm and reproducer ?  (He's been to the
Union phono/music box show in northern Illinois once, without any
luck so far.)

And for you music box fans, what do you think the chances were for
this guy's dear old auntie to offer him "an old Regina music player"
that was not an ordinary 15.5" Style 11 long bedplate, or -- a little
less likely -- a later Style 50 short bedplate table model?

Not that finding any Regina from its original owner isn't a rarity
these days.  But noooo, what auntie had in her front room was an
11-1/4" oak-serpentine-cased Reginaphone, with a matching base cabinet,
and in perfect condition to boot!  Can't remember the model just now,
but I sure had to go look it up in Bowers' book, because I'd never seen
one, or even a reference to one, in 35 years of collecting.

Good grief, what a lucky find.  I told him he ought to run right out
and buy a lottery ticket.
