Scriabin on LP "Welte Legacy of Piano Treasures"
By Mark Reinhart

Robbie, You are correct that there is no evidence that Scriabin
traveled to Germany to be recorded for the Welte-Mignon in 1905.
In any event, the recording location would have been Leipzig, at the
studio of Hugo Popper which is shown in many of the early publicity
photos.

There were some recordings also made in Freiburg at the time, but most
of the notable pianists in 1905 were recorded in the Popper studio.

Scriabin would most likely have been recorded in Russia in 1910 at
either Moscow, St. Petersburg, or both cities.
