Broken Spring Motor in Apollo Player Piano
By bandj@sunlink.net

-- forwarded message, please reply to sender and MMD --

We a have a Melville Clark Apollo player piano that did work and now
has broken. This piano is foot-pedal operated, and it has an automatic
rewind.

The other day, when rewinding the roll I'd just got done playing, there
was a loud pop -- sounded like a spring broke. Now the piano will do
nothing. I believe that inside the big gear there is a spring and that
is where the problem is. I have two pictures; they are:

I'm hoping maybe you could give me some guidance and tell me if this is
the possible problem and where I might get a new part, or even any good
books on Apollo player pianos.

Thanks
Brian
