New Duo-Art Emulations
By Spencer Chase

As most readers know, one of Richard Stibbons' many projects has been
the development of program to emulate Duo-Art expression in standard
MIDI files. His most recent effort is truly outstanding.

This is not a trivial task as the Duo-Art regulator is very difficult
to model accurately and the dynamic coding techniques varied widely.
Previous attempts produced results that were either safe but bland or
more expressive music but with the occasional overemphasis. The new
emulator produces music that ranges from good to excellent with all the
rolls I have tested.

I have replaced the old samples on my web site with the new emulations.
I will send samples of other rolls to anyone who is interested.
