"Virtuola" Expression Player Piano
By Paul Manganaro

I have an unrestored Virtuola upright. I can't open the lid right
now so I can't tell you what the serial number is. I bought this piano
many years ago in New York City through MMD member Randolph Herr.

This particular piano has an inlayed case in fine original condition
and was used in an exposition in Brussels in 1910. It has a double
tracker bar, one set for 65-note rolls and another set of holes for
the Virtuola rolls. It is both foot pumped and electric. The electric
pump is fitted on the back of the piano in between the upright posts.
The electric motor is two speed, similar to German Welte-Mignon
players.

I have about 70 original rolls for it but I have never seen another
piano like this or any more of the rolls.
