Source of Unusual Screws
By Albert de Boer

Hi. Thanks to many suggestions in response to my posting for a source
for one-inch long #3 steel wood screws, I got all I wanted from the
American Piano Company. They carried all the various sizes I am
interested in, in plain steel, brass plated and nickel plated steel,
in slotted flat heads, round heads and oval heads.

Their prices were a lot lower than I expected and they sell in 100 each
quantities. Could not expect better service.

For 'bronzed' screws, you could try Van Dyke's Restorers at
http://www.vandykes.com/ or tel. 1-800-558-1234. They carry so-called
'antique brass'. They also carry 'black coated' and 'chrome plated'
screws in several sizes and lengths.
