"De Carillon" Bursens Street Organ
By Hans van Oost

It is interesting to note that, in fact, _two_ organs with the
same name exist, both built by Bursens and both once possessed by
the firm of Perlee in Amsterdam, and both playing the same scale!
The second one, built in 1922, was mentioned yesterday.

The first "Carillon" organ was built in Antwerp in 1920 by the Bursens
firm. For many years it was the property of the well-known Amsterdam
rental firms of L and G Warnies, succeeded by Perlee, where this organ
too was rebuilt under the leadership of Mr. Struys. In the late 1950s
the instrument was sold to Mr. Henk Moehlmann, who in his turn sold it
to a new owner in the UK; its present state and whereabouts are unknown
to me.
