Favorite Recordings of Fairground Organs
By Dafe Campfield

I am very new to the mechanical music world, but am becoming more
interested and hope to learn more with time, particularly about the
music of band organs. So far I only own an album of music called
"Tulip Belles", featuring a 79-key Richter organ. I would like to
know, what are some more merry-sounding organ models? I would like
to develop an organ music collection, but am wondering what would
"put the best foot forward", so to speak, on behalf of mechanical
music?

I have a short mp3 audio clip of "Light of Foot" (Latann) played on
what has been identified for me as a Bursens model, and I like it much
more than the sound of the Richter! (I am still in lengthy search of
a hard copy of that recording...!)

So I'm asking you who know about this music: what are some of your
favorites? Thank you for your time,

Dafe Campfield
