Seek Repair of 'Sur Plateau' Musical Pocket Watch
By Brian Chesters

I have a musical pocket watch sitting on my desk and would love to know
if anyone can repair it. Unfortunately, Geoff Mayson is no longer with
us, for he would have relished the project.

It is a large watch with a "repeating" mechanism. Also a musical
movement of the 'Sur Plateau' type, with a flat disc with projections
and 25 individual teeth screwed down.

It arrived with a bag, separate from the case, containing two small cog
wheels. The cogs are part of the governor mechanism for the music box.
The main watch feels like it's over-wound and jammed.

Question: Who can fix it?

Brian Chesters

[ Brian sent a photo, too; it's a beautiful pocket watch. I'll place
[ the 'Sur Plateau' photo at http://mmd.foxtail.com/Pictures -- Robbie
