Paper Music Media vs. Magnetic Music Media
By Lee Munsick

Which medium has the message? I suppose it's understandable,
especially in this venue, to feel that "Paper Music Media" and
"Magnetic Music Media" are mutually exclusive.

Not so -- the first magnetic tape recordings were produced by the
Germans during WW2. Those tapes were made of paper.

Leave it to the Americans to substitute plastic. The earliest version
of such over the years has produced a lot of unhappy recording owners,
as early plastic tape recordings disintegrated or blurred.

Let's give credit where it's due, to those "magnetic media" pioneers
who worked with "paper media" and combined the two!
