Ethnic Music on American Piano Rolls
By John A. Tuttle

I agree with John W. Miller about which foreign word rolls seem to be
the greatest in abundance. Following Italian word rolls in abundance
seems to be Polish word rolls. In my opinion, I believe this is mostly
because of their culture, and their fondness for large family gatherings,
loud singing, and lots of drinking.

Were it not for the Honky-Tonk bars and nickelodeons, would player
pianos have ever become so popular?

Musically,

John A. Tuttle
